Class Update 8/23

Hi Genesis Class,
We had a good "wrap-up" lesson on The Shack last week with Marilyn Dickson teaching a lesson about the overall themes of the book. She also shared some interesting background information about the author, as well. It was good to step back and look at the whole book, after having gone through it chapter by chapter.

This week will be the the first week to study "In God's Name: Wisdom From the World's Great Spiritual Leaders". Blaire found the following link that gives some background info about the documentary that we'll be watching and discussing in class. There's a link to a trailer on this page, too, if you want a preview.
The documentary was produced by the same French brothers who produced the film "9/11", which also aired on CBS. We'll be watching and discussing the film over a span of 3 Sundays, so be sure to be there this Sunday to catch the beginning!

We will not hold class on Sep 6, due to the Labor Day weekend.
