Class Update 6/13/10

Genesis Class,

What a fantastic weekend for the Genesis Class! We celebrated babies
on Saturday night with a great turnout thanks to Ben and Ashley for
opening their home and enjoyed a very interesting lesson from Kristin
and Brad Sunday morning. We looked at a few controversial issues in
the United Methodist Book of Resolutions and learned how to use the
book. We are considering looking at more issues and discussing them
further. I have also contacted Rodney Whitfield for some ideas
regarding a Bible study to begin soon. If anyone has any suggestions,
please let me know.

Missions:
Connie Presley has asked if we can switch to teaching children's
Sunday School July 11th instead of June 27th. If you are signed up for
June 27th PLEASE let me know if this will work for you or not. We
still need 3 more people for August 1st. One with Brad for 2nd grade
and two for 6th grade.

Food items for June are peanut butter, jelly, and macaroni and cheese.

Socials:
July 17th 7pm Gilley's
June 27th Lunch after class (place TBD)
July 31st Pool Party at Daniel and Cat's house
More details to follow.

Joys and Concerns:
Lindsey's parents made it safely from London and will be here for a
month.
Hayley's grandmother made it safely to town and will be here for about
10 days. She is still ill but feeling good and enjoying her visit.
My sister is having a girl, which means everything is going well.

We will be in Houston this weekend so we will not be in class. Happy
Father's Day!

Amanda
