The Genesis Class is a class for engaged and married couples, for twenty and thirty year olds. They have various teachers who lead them in studying a variety of topics, from Biblical lessons to contemporary Christian issues. The Genesis Class is committed to growing together in faith through learning, service and fellowship. We meet at 11:00am in Room 205.

Class Update 1/31/10

We continued in our church-wide study of the "5 Practices of Fruitful Congregations" with this weeks discussion focusing on "Risk-taking Mission and Service". We talked about mission opportunities that are already available through the church, and some others that we might propose. This Sunday, we will conclude this series with the topic of "Extravagant Generosity".

Thanks to all of you who volunteered to help out with the WinterFest event that is hosted by the church's Senior Adult Ministry. I think that I had told some of you that the event is in the Family Life Center, but I had bad info... It was in the FLC last year, but there is a basketball tournament going on there this year, so the WinterFest will be in the main sanctuary building and the education building (where our classroom is). If you volunteered, you should have gotten an email from Glen Meggs on Monday with the details about where to meet at the beginning of your shift. It looks like his list didn't have any meals for us, so if you would like a meal (which they offered to all volunteers), please reply to Glen today if you haven't already, and let him know.

Our Super Bowl party is coming up this Sunday, of course, at Daniel and Christy's house. You should have an evite in your inbox from Jessica which has the details, maps, etc... Hope to see you there!
